“This is the second Hardcore Revelation we’ve been to and we’ve been very impressed both times. This event saw DJ Sy with MC Enemy headlining and DJ Sc@r also on the line up” Got there later than usual due to traffic but arrived just in time to hear the end of DJ Entertane with MC Sway which was kicking! Sc@r played from 10-11 and although she was late (due to something to do with windscreen wipers and traffic?!) she certainly made up for it, playing a blinding set which included a couple of her own tracks with the backing of MC Fugitive. I must admit I’d never heard Fugitive before and was surprised at how he got the small but ‘avin it crowd going! Next up was miDJe with MC Cuzen which if I’m honest we didn’t really listen to as we were a bit worse for wear by this time ;) The rest of the crowd loved it though and even peeps outside were having a stomp outside the Chinese takeaway(!) which is next door, not the sort of place you’d expect to see messy ravers jumping about but her who cares? This lot certainly didn’t! Next of course was the turn of Sy and Enemy… what more can I say? They rocked the place. Sy chucking in his usual array of tunes and as always MC Enemy keeping the crowd entertained (especially the women). The last set was played by DJ Brooklyn with MC Sykee on the mic who played another banging set to end a great night. All in all Hardcore Revelation kicks ass, it’s a small venue, like 200 capacity, but the atmosphere, bar staff, door staff and promoters are second to none. HR have got some great events coming up including a Halloween spectacular with a later license till 4am and a Christmas event joining forces with Vortex raves which will see the one and only Whizzkid on the line up! So our advice is to get your butts to one of their events at BANG BAR in Basingstoke, we guarantee you will not be disappointed. BIG UP THE HARDCORE REVELATION CREW!!!
